The core of my point was that they are busy and adding capacity seems to be doing well for them.
I'll better define my example. Tomorrow AC has 2,274 seats going from YVR - YYZ. Only 38 seats are left for sale, of which 10 are an oversell so only 28 seats left for sale (and these are business only at $3200-$3700 each).
Of that, some of the flights are already oversold, which will total around 30 seats for the day.
So on their popular route tomorrow they are at 100.09% of capacity. So no, I don't think they are over-extending themselves, I think they need to put more seats on popular routes.
