Like i said before you can eat a steak any way you like.
I too disagree with you and agree with Blumie that a steak needs salt but again, you can eat it however you want. I have friends that eat a steak extra well done. You know, hockey pucks. I don't think its the correct way to eat a steak but his choice.
You like it without salt, great. I'm very curious to see where you buy your steak and your method of preparation for the steak. Also curious as to your favorite cut.
Again, your steak, your choice. I have a co-worker who claims to know everything about everything, including restaurants in NYC. He recommended a steakhouse which I didnt think was that great. I asked him what cut he orders, temperature, and preparation. He told me he only eats filet mignon, well done, with bernaise sauce. Enough said.
As for me? I personally like a bone in ribeye medium rare WITH SALT. I don't know of any steakhouses in NYC that serves a steak without salt unless requested. Thinking out loud, if it was better that way, most places wouldnt season it with salt and ALL chefs will say that the steak is UNDER SEASONED.
