To the naysayers. Many of the employees will not take advantage of the gift. This will be due to time and personal financial restraints. This is further evidenced by the number of employees who do not advantage of their free air passes. To use SH's GM example. Do you get upset when a GM employee buys a GM at a preferential rate, likely not?
When a building supply store sells to its employees at a lower price than you can get, does that bother you?
My point is that it is very normal for an employer to give perks to employees, to reward them for good work, loyalty, perseverance. This is all that AC is doing, I fail to see a valid reason for the whining.
