IC Tokyo Bay (Tokyo Japan)
Were you (or for multi-stayers are you generally) happy with the hotel/stay?
Yes. I think it's the best deal of the three hotels in Tokyo
Which room did you book and which upgrade did you receive?
Ordered a Superior, got upgraded to an Executive Room, with Club Access (though indicated that was nonstandard)
How are the rooms?
For Japan, spacious. All mod cons including high tech toilets.
How is the exec. lounge?
Breakfast is a fancy affair with an omelette station. Evening cocktails and snacks have enough options for a meal if you're not too hungry.
Did you receive a welcome gift?
Bottle of French (red Rhone) wine.
How was the minibar?
Nice that it had a high-end Sake and a Spanish Cava sparkling wine.
Only 3 types of liquor: Chivas, Absolut and Bombay Gin.
Two types of Japanese beer
Assorted other stuff.
What was good and what was bad?
-Good
Friendly, gave me nice upgrade with Club.
They have a Club unlike IC Strings.
I can walk to Tsukiji Fish Market (15 minutes) and eat the best sushi in the world.
-Bad
Location may be inconvenient for some, but you just take the Yurikamome monorail (right outside the hotel) two stops to Shimbashi, where you have lots of nightlife, can walk to Yurakucho, or transfer to Ginza Line or JR line. Or you can walk 5 minutes to Hamamatsucho (JR Line) or adjacent Daimon (Oedo and Asakusa lines). And there is a shopping center in the adjacent Takeshiba pier if you are tired and immobile.
Value for $ or Priority Club Points?
It was significantly cheaper than the IC Strings or IC ANA Roppongi. And I got a better upgrade and Club access.
Would you return?
It is now my favorite in Tokyo.
