Keep in mind that when you negotiate a rate, everything is on the table. For instance, I negotiated a rate with a Renaissance once (I stayed at that location >60 nights/year) where the room rate itself was not super advantageous (just $5 below my corporate allowance) but I asked for a $30 daily food & bev credit together with free parking. They were happy to accept as the marginal cost to the hotel of the side benefits (especially for parking) was literally $0. Always good to look at the whole picture.

I wasn't clear if corporate rates were by property/location or system-wide. From your answers it seems like this rate system can be very flexible for lots of different business sizes and needs.
