I've had Hyatt Platinum status for the past 7-8 months, as a downgrade from the incomplete Diamond Trial. I don't have the Chase Hyatt card and don't plan to get it. Since I've started the trial, I think I've had 4-5 stays for a total of about 10 nights. I figured the Platinum status wouldn't last, but yesterday Hyatt sent me an email titled "Enjoy Another Year of Platinum Membership" and the details of the email say:

"...we hope you are enjoying the benefits of your Hyatt GP Platinum membership. You are very close to requalifying for another year of Plat status through Feb 2016, with only 2 eligible stays or 10 eligible nights by Dec 31..."

It sounds like I was basically on a prolonged Platinum Trial, and if I complete 2 more stays or 10 nights, I'll get Plat for another year. Am I reading this correctly? I currently have 1 more planned stay somewhere before the end of the year (1 night), and I was planning on staying at a Radisson due to their awesome promos, but now I might to Hyatt.
