AA knew DFW was having weather issues - their business decision not to burn fuel for an known landing time choosing to land, refuel, wait, take-off and land at DFW. (I know, no way to know what windows for landing would be open at DFW). There were over 20 AA planes on the tarmac at SAT waiting in various stages of refueling or take off slots.

Missed the HKG flight by over 1 hour. I spoke to the EXP desk while waiting for a gate at DFW. Asked for the EQM for the total trip and to get me back to LAX that day. Yes to the EQM's and Yes to getting me back.

Well documented in the record which was read back to me.

I was told I had to call AA Advantage once the entire trip was finished.

Once home I realized I had not asked for the bonus miles - nor had I said anything about a hotel room that had to be paid. I am 100% willing to give up the ticket cost for the flights (barely over $1000.00).

What I would really like is additional eqms ( I still believe in the tooth fairy) from the 'bonus' mile pool. I would also take off the table the hotel room (probably would never be on the table).

Any thoughts how to approach this.
