I would like to thank all who contributed to the thread with your thoughts especially those who researched the route and came up with ideas.
But as I mentioned earlier, I swear to god it was ONE ticket with one confirmation number and one E ticket number with route -
Kuwait-Dubai-Dallas-Austin.

With the last flight via AA2297.
In fact when I checkin in my luggage at the emirates counter in Kuwait they were tagged all the way to Austin. If I had bought 2 seperate tickets I clearly would not hold emirates responsible for the problem.
The other issue is when I said I do not want to go to Austin send me back to Kuwait from Dubai, why didnt they do that instead of forcing me to buy a ticket although I do have a return flight Austin-Dallas-Dubai-Kuwait!!!
