Well I don't get what everyone is complaining about, United is on track to becoming the World's largest third world airline, so obviously customer service is going to reflect that. Oops, that was offensive to third world airlines that actually still believe in customer service. No one has ANY expectation of privacy in public unless it is a hospital, bathroom, changing room etc. While you probably wanted to make your flight, you were absolutely in your right to take a picture of him, and not delete it. United does have an archaic photography rule (which they can because they are a private company) but I am unsure if that applies to the aircraft or in the gate area as well. But running into trouble should be expected when flying Divided Airlines.
