I would recommend the bus, which runs several times daily. It goes on 2 ferries and through several tunnels. It was a very interesting trip for about US 90 per person. Not crowded on the day we travelled. The bus, an intercity design with comfortable seating and a good clientele, always has priority for getting on and off each ferry in order to maintain the schedule.
