"Of the 1,400 federal security screeners hired last fall to guard against terrorism at Newark Liberty International Airport, 17 percent are no longer on the job -- including dozens who were belatedly fired for failing background checks, government records show.

Others were dismissed for misconduct on the job, and still others have quit, leaving the airport's passenger and baggage screening force with more than 100 vacancies."

One of the goals of the TSA was to have a low-turnover workforce. Another failure.

It's time to fact the facts: This agency is a disgrace and should be permanently disbanded. It's a waste of billions of dollars for the same "security" we had pre-9/11. And its management is truly a joke.
