I confess to not staying up to speed on this issue, and it is not unusual for regional Thai Immigration, especially Jomtien, to modify rules on any given day.

That said, Div. 1 (Bangkok/Chaeng Watthana, close to DMK) Immigration is still extending 30 day exemptions, previously you could get a a 7-day extension, and as of Aug. 29, 2014, a 30-day extension.

What might happen tomorrow is anyone's guess.

Note that, while it does not address the DB issue, a one-day overstay would incur a fine of 500 baht, although in the past there has been a one-day "grace" period, for which no fine is collected. Paying an over-stay fine is acceptable, although it is best to minimize the number of days over-staying, and to avoid contact with the Police during any over-stay period.

I recently overstayed my 90-day Non-Imm B stamp by one day, and received a slight lecture before apologizing and explaining the situation, but no fine or subsequent issue.
