If you look way back yonder at my OP #1, I was flying the same exact route as this case (CDG/ATL), and I didn't hafto pay any tax. I don't know if DL paid it, or not, but I sure didn't!
Then, again, mine was done a few days in advance by phone, and not at CDG airport.
