I have an SWU from DFW-HKG today and have some conflicting information. When I checked in and got put on the gate standby list (this was technically yesterday since I have an overnight in DFW before continuing on to HKG), I was told I was #2 on this list. Fast forward to today, four hours before flight leaves, I check the AA App and it shows I'm 19th...and it shows that the person at #5 has cleared. Many explanations possible. Only way you'd be able to get a slightly better answer would be to call EP desk and find a willing agent to take a peek. Or, if someone here with access is willing to look it up.
BUT, the date provided does not automatically show any signs of conflicting information given to you at check-in-- the list, very much by design, changes a lot in the final day/hours.
