Avios.com no longer offers any benefit over BAEC bookings, so I would transfer straight to BAEC.

Transferring TCB straight to avios (BAEC or Avios.com) you are buying them at 1p/avios. If you value them higher than that then it is a good deal, if not it is a bad deal.
