The Hotel in Europe charges a 6 Euro per person per night city tax can you dispute this since Hotwire lists all taxes and recovery fees?
Well, technically you can dispute these EUR 6/night as a credit card chargeback, if the owner of the credit card did not authorize this charge.
However, most hotels wont give you the key to the room, if you have not given them this authorization.
It is perfectly normal to be charged with city tax, resort fee or similar additional fees for all TA reservations - not only Hotwire reservations.

In my eyes it is deceptive, if I am bidding for a unknown property and then have to pay an extra EUR 20/night in mandatory resort fees.
