In 1964 I worked in California for 5 months and they got me a SSN and card. I guess I paid something into it over the period of time I was working there. Then the company transferred me back to Canada to set up the Canadian operation. I'm not even sure I know where the card is after all these years and assume it could be replaced if of value to me.

Question: Is my card and number still active? How would I find out? If it still is active, what benefit could it be to me?
