Without wishing to tempt fate (or the dreaded seat-shifters), I was able to select upper deck economy seat on an A380 flight I just booked. I entered by BA Executive Club number but I seriously doubt QR's system could detect I am OneWorld Emerald so swiftly. I'll keep checking "manage my booking" periodically but fingers crossed the seat selection stays!
