If you do go to Ybor, Columbia, while a bit touristy now, have really good food. It has been around a long long time. A bit more low brow, but also good Cuban food is Carmine's.
New World Brewery is a good place for a beer. Great Jukebox.
If you want to sit outside, they have places. So does Gaspar's Grotto.
If you like cigars, enjoy one at King Corona's with a beverage, sitting outside watching the world go by.
