If you call to book make sure you mention that you tried and could not book online, because the multicity only allows 6 flights, etc.. and if the agent still mentions telephone booking fee, just ask him/her to waive it.
When I called to book my 8 flight itinerary today on the Silver line, the agent did not even mention the offline booking fee and quoted the price w/o it. He was very nice indeed, and was surprised how I knew all the codes and numbers and prices, when I told him I use ITA he said in a joke voice that 'that's cheating!'.
Very good experience with the call centre today indeed. Also no waiting. ^
