Last year, my company was able to negotiate a rate $10 below the public rates at a Residence Inn, based on just a single traveler with a 4-6 month stay planned. It knocked the long term stay rate down from $109 to $99. Maybe that could have been arranged by/for a specific reservation, but having it in their system as a company rate made it easy when I later joined my colleague; we just called and asked for our company rate by name.
