Hi All. I bought some dividend miles 60k in total for business class intra asia travel when they had the 100% bonus special. Planning to go to Japan in December, but would like to know if this is possible. Want to go to Sapporo for 2 nights and then go to Tokyo and return from there with the dividend routing rules.

so essentially.

HKG > CTS > HND/NRT (Stopover) > HND > HKG

so HKG > CTS using cathay pacific
CTS > HND/NRT (Stop over) via Japan Airlines

HND > HKG using cathay pacific

I've heard you can't do stopovers with intra region travel.

If that's not possible, is it possible to do open jaw ticket going to sapporo, then use points separately to get to tokyo and return back to HKG from tokyo?

Thoughts and opinion appreciated.
