The I7SALE fares have a 300eur change fee plus the difference in fares. If one did need to change the ticket, and if there were I class availability on the required dates, how would the fare difference be calculated? Would it be based on the I class fare at the time of switching or would it be based on the I7SALE fare that would have applied at the time of booking? ie. Would I end up paying 300eur plus the difference between the sale fare and a regular I class fare, or is it possible that there would only be 300eur to pay if the dates chosen would also have qualified for the sale?
Second related question - as there would be three people on this booking, is there a reasonable chance of finding 3 I class seats on a DUB-YVR itinerary if one is flexible and changes are made several months out?
The likelihood of a date change isn't high therefore not worth buying a much higher flex fare. Have always wondered how they calculate fare differences though. Thanks in advance.
