In the OP, he mentions "LLM", which suggests to me that he is contemplating going to a good law school to polish up his resume before heading out into the field. (I helped a former gf pursue a similar path, and the LLM from YLS honestly did open a lot of doors for her... though she was/is actually interested in law itself.)
