Were you flying in the period not too long after 9/11 when we were allowed only a personal item on board? Wow the turns were amazingly fast. I saw a 25 minute turn on a 757 in DEN and in fact once the plane was airborne the pilot had to lower the landing gear to cool down the wheel wells because the brakes hadn't had time too cool adequately.
