There is a difference between "party line, what the rules say" and how SOME flyers get treated. Not a hissy fit, not a DYKWIA tirade- but an "ive been wronged, can you fix it" appeal.
Or, you can do what the posters here seem to recommend- just be happy they agreed to fly you and just recognize that 'mistakes happen, oh well'.
