If I bought a connection flight, can I skip the second?
HI guys, will travel to the US the first time! I am search for tickets NYC-MSP, but found the connection flight NYC-MSP-MKE is much cheaper (150$ vs. 500$).

So can I just fly NYC-MSP, and skip the second flight? Will the airline charge me the price difference after they find out? And can I ask them to transfer my checked luggage just to MSP, if I book those 2 segments separately, but in the same ticket number?

No idea how airlines operate in US, oh btw it is delta. thanks
