Zambia - Roamed in the big cities and a few national parks on AirTel Zambia with decent 2g speeds. Phone in Lusaka and Livingstone was 3G but everywhere else was edge. Speeds were decent enough for browsing, email and iMessage.
Updated now in South Africa; roaming on Vodacom SA, slow 2g speeds but fine for all the basic stuff. Got the same pop up message from tmobile saying welcome to XXXXX, this country is included in your global data plan.
