Which reminded me how incredibly easy it was to actually use the frequent flyer program! To fly around the eastern US, it was perfect. The coach award was usually available, even at the last minute. If it wasn't and you booked a "high" award -- hey, now it was first class !

And while the AirTran website was never in the major leagues, the actual booking process for award travel was very easy. And the phone agents actually backed you up.

I earned 369 credits since joining in the summer of 2006, and had A+ Elite status for a few years. The other great aspect of this program was that elites were upgraded for free starting in 2009.
