I find that the newer much more sensible coach ticket prices well justify a small deterioration in food quality. US carriers offer plenty good enough food anyway for coach and with the 380 LH once again has a competitive coach product, so overall, I simply cannot see the race to the bottom.
With space and IFE so much improved and with offering the greatest plane ever, I have to say that I perceive this as an overall steep improvement.
