GRR- Gerald R. Ford International Airport- stumbles down the stair optional
Then there are the dueling Florida Panhandle airports-
Northwest Florida Beaches International (ECP- because they wanted it to sound bigger than Pamana City Bech)
Northwest Florida Regional Airport (VPS- about 60 miles westward near Ft. Walton Beach and slightly bigger than the International airport)
Over the past 10 years, VPS has been listed by about six different names depending on which airline you're flying, leading to everyone, including tv marketers, just calling it VPS instead of trying to figure out whether a given carrier calls it Valpariaso, Okaloosa Regional, Ft. Walton Beach, Eglin AFB, Northwest Florida, Destin, Okaloosa County... I think I've had boarding passes over the years that listed all those except Destin as the city.
