It will take some time to fully integrate our loyalty programs, including everything from the systems that support them to aligning our terms and conditions. We will be sure to keep you updated as changes occur.
This was the email back in Dec 2013. I interpreted it to mean exactly what it said - "bring current DM accounts into the AAvantage program. Meaning the AA program and its tiers, upgrades, mileage quals, etc. And all AA did was some minor tweaks - no fee SDC for EXP, no stickers for <500 miles, and no non-sticker upgrades for G/P on Y/B fares. Only the third one is a downgrade for AA flyers, the other 2 are upgrades.
So anyone that was a US DM elite - they should have know that the new program for them was simply AAdvantage.
