(a) If there is no availability, then you will likely be out of luck ; if you can get rebooked onto a BA flight, then pretty sure that you will be assessed the curent fees
B worked, the supervisor at check-in rebooked me back in First on the next flight two hours later. He even tried booking me on AAs direct flight to EZE, unfortunately the system wouldn't let him.
