Well, I prefer DL metal for other reasons (mainly 1-2-1 BusinessElite); but try flying :
LAX-AMS-LAX
or ORD-AMS-ORD, or after 17:00 AMS-JFK
Not sure how you manage to fly Delta metal on some of these routes (especially LAX or ORD).
