There's every chance you'll find you're seated together at OLCI if not just ask someone to swap once on board. I'm sure any normal person travelling alone will oblige. Although BA does seem to attract some very odd customers.
Malaga is a leisure destination anyway, so most traveller, I imagine, would be in pairs like the OP. I think the chance of not getting a pair of seats at T-24 is small.
