the flights departing from AUH seem to be one of the best options. I searched yesterday for award flights directly at EY webiste and found for example AUH-SYD in business with approx. 40 EUR od additional taxes (one way). If Air Berlin charges the same amount for such award flight, it would be nice, particularly that Air Serbia offers flights from WAW to AUH for quite good price.

Have you ever tried to redeem TopBonus miles for OneWorld award, which allows multiple stopovers? The amount of miles required for such award is bargain, comparing to "regular" award flights. However, I don't know, how much do I have to pay extra for YQ and other surcharges in case of such award.
