Hello everybody,

Hope to get some useful recommendations - I and my wife are having a weekend trip in Saigon on Nov 14-17th. This will be our first visit in Vietnam.

Because we have only 2.5 days in reality (or better - 2 days, because can't do much after arriving around 3PM) I think it would be reasonable to have all this time spent in the city.

We have not booked any accommodations and tours but I'd be glad to accept suggestions. Interests: city walking/biking tour (not interested with any Vietnam war related tours), food/tasting tour and/or visit of local villages (no interest with voluntourism as well).

I've checked couple of tour agencies on TripAdvisor and seems they charge >$50 per person for 2-3 hour tours. Is this normal price?

As far as hotels - we would like to be in a quiet residential neighborhood not far away from city center. Would like to avoid big hotels and chains. Max lodging budget is $50/night for both of us. The accommodation which should include a room with clean sheets, aircon, hot running water and breakfast. Everything extra is not necessary.

Thanks!
