Jordyn...what you don't realize is MANY US Platinums were getting complimentary upgrades 75% of the time, or more. That's why this will be very upsetting to them.
As a 50k flyer I'm not too upset but the loss of free companion upgrades is a real bummer. Backing out 500 mile flights I am probably only at 20% for upgrades anyways but now will have to burn stickers if I have a companion too.
