I'd guess that future years will see something more like DL and UA, but smart of him to not impose all that change before the airlines are integrated.
Earlier I speculated that AA could offer huge RDM bonuses for high fares and/or business or first class fares to match the DL/UA RDM benefits while not punishing the low-fare buyers the way DL and UA have chosen to act.
