United uses a lounge by gate 9, however if you smoke, Delta used to allow United pax to use their lounge's smoking room but the lounge is no longer there as Delta moved to Term 2 and the coffee bar by gate 1 is no longer due to terminal renovation. You can only smoke up at the pay lounge Club Manila.
On top of this when you go to the gate for the flight to Guam you will be subjected to them going thru your carry on, then get frisked, and then take your shoes off so they can hand search them
