Can you not just turn up at an Air Berlin office with a self-generated xONEWCx itinerary which meets the fare rules and ask them to issue the ticket? Qatar appears to fly KRT-DOH so it is possible to leave KRT on a OW airline.
Edit: just saw later reply indicating AB don't know what a xONEWCx is.
