I know that OneWorld have previously viewed a JNB-LHR-DXB/HKG (transit) - SYD-JNB as a DONEWC4 ticket.
Have they updated their terms and conditions to reflect it as a DONEWC3?
I am making my travel plans for the next few weeks and the price will shape the flights I need to take, I don't feel like paying for a 4th continent if I am solely in transit.

Sadly it is still considered a 4-continent itinerary
(particularly annoying now that one can fly non-stop DXB-SYD/MEL or DOH-PER/MEL without even 'touching' Asia.
