AB still publishes xONEWC fares out of KRT, but how to book them is the challenge
And, at least according to EF, no other airlines publish RTW or multi-continent fares ex-KRT
You are correct. Using the online tool you had to use AB for the first inter-continental leg, but since I used RJ for the first leg it crapped out when AA tried to ticket. AA ended up putting me on their code for the same flight. Alas, I had to cancel the night before flying to KRT as my son was in the hospital with pneumonia. When I called to change the flights they wanted another $5,500! Ending up getting a full refund though.

I have called AB and they do not issue the tickets in question, they will refer you to the online tool for xONEx and don't know what the xONEWC are. Maybe someone who spoke German would have better luck, but it didn't sound as though AB had a dedicated RTW desk or anyone that understood the fares. Hence the pricing irregularities.
