Question Q on Using BA to book First Class seats, then canceling & Booking on AA?
Hi everyone,

Does anyone have any experience using & booking via Avios otherwise hard to book/find awards (like Cathay First, Qantas Business/First) 355 days out & then 330 days out - canceling the BA reservation & calling to book those seats on AA?

I have a few questions - and was not able to find anything useful online - so if anyone could help - that would be awesome!

Here we go:

1. How long did it take after canceling on BA to see the inventory on AA?

2. If you booked 2 Cathay first seats with Avios - will AA see both of those as inventory once you cancel - or will they see just 1?

3. If you booked both BA awards as A + M - could you confirm if you will be receiving all avios & the money as credit (vs avios) - $55 cancellation fee?
