Most of AC's Y seat width is 17.8"
Considering everybody else runs 737's with +/-17" seats, how exactly do you think WestJet manages to find 9 extra inches of width in the 737 airframe?
FWIW, I do not find the WS seat particularly comfortable. My impression is that compared to AC's 320's, the seat is narrower and the seat cushion is shorter.
