I stayed at the Westin Princeville a few years ago. The hotel is on a cliff a couple of hundred feet above the beach, so you can't access the beach directly from the hotel.

I seem to remember reading about a trail by the hotel that leads down to the beach.

When I stayed there shuttles were operating between the Westin and the St. Regis.
