Incidentally, it's the same courier company that UA uses when they need to deliver delayed bags to customers, so you saved UA a courier fee by letting UA use the courier service you paid for.

You may want to point that out to UA and ask for a voucher for the mishandle and because you helped them out.
I chose to do that because I wasn't in a rush to get our bags and did not have to coordinate to be home twice to receive the delivery...it was what I opted for. They were willing to make two different deliveries but that would have required me to do coordinate to be home twice.
