I live in the UK and got upgraded every time I stay in a Hilton hotel, except once where I specifically booked a Twin room and there was no higher level of this kind available.
On the other hand, the free wi-fi I received has always been rubbish. It is slow and disconnect all the time. The free wi-fi Hampton Inn offers is way better.
