Again, if you feel AC's benefits don't meet your needs then sign up with MP. Because MP and UA are the same company, there is no cost to UA if MP waives the change and other such service centre call fees related to awards on any airline. AC does not charge for making the changes, AE does. As I suggested, why don't you contact AE and ask them to waive the fee for their Distinction Diamonds, if not Blacks too? UA has nothing to do with this, it's AE that imposes the charge. UA doesn't deal through AE so isn't really waiving any fee AE charges. AC must do that, or else AE itself should give this benefit to its own top tier elites.
