I'm not sure the EQM from the credit card actually are counted as redeemable miles, are they?
In any case for earning status during 2015, only EQM / EQP earned in calendar year 2015 will count.
The OP could easily earn Platinum status via the Challenge route (assuming the Challenge will remain a viable option in 2015 Q1) on the itinerary planned, given one would have to fly 6,667 miles to earn the required 10,000 EQ Points to earn Platinum (through Feb 2016 in this instance), allowing one to earn more Redeemable miles and benefit from oneworld Sapphire while earning "normal" status in 2015.
I'd use Great Circle Mapper to calculate miles; e.g. SFO-DFW is shown as 1,464 mi and AA credits is 1,464 base miles, not "1.5k"; DFW-EZE a is 5,285 miles (aa.com) = 6,749 EQM (enough to earn Platinum). GCM shows 6,748 mi, so it's quite close.
Otherwise, the OP's itinerary is 14,209 total base miles, 21,313 EQP, way insufficient for Gold. Even SFO-JFK-EZE-JFK-SFO (I've done that) with the EZE-SCL sector thrown in yields only 16,445 EQM, still short.
I'm guessing (unless I'm misreading) MarkBearSFO isn't completely on board with base miles / Elite Qualifying Miles, Elite Qualifying Miles and redeemable miles yet. Mark, those class of service (and eventually the status bonus) miles are redeemable miles, not germane to earning status; only EQM and EQP are useful for status earning calculations in this instance.
IMO the Challenge would be a great thing for you.
